Which Lens is better for backup Dx

I D750 but also have a D5100, the two Fx Lenses I have are a Nikkor 24- 70 and Sigma 70-200 both 2.8. I was wondering is it better have the Sigma on the Dx or the Nikkor or does it matter which. Its not often I do this but from time to time it is handy.

Honestly doesn't matter.

I would use the lens on the camera that I want to use (or at least think I will use) the most often. So if you want the 70-200mm on the D750 use it. You might want it on the D5100 or want to use the 24-70 the most at the next site so change over.

There's no hard and fast rule besides what works for you.

I'd personally put the 24-70 on the D750 since it's just a much better lens in general coupled with the amazing D750 sensor...
