Which of the 3?

#2. Grain

#3. Soft Focus

Can't decide between the 3.

Which do you prefer? Also, general critique would be welcomed.

My preference would be based on the context of the photo.

If the shot was for a mascara ad, I'd choose number 1.

If the shot was for a sleep aid, I'd choose number 3.

As far as my personal preference, I'd have to go with the first one. I like the clarity.

Something about the grain in number two really appeals to me. The only thing is the grain looks a little "too digital" if that makes any sense. I still think that overall the grain version is my favorite.

I like the 3rd... I think there may be too much detail in the first.

I like the third. I think it's the texture in the eyelid that's swaying me.

1st, definitely. i'm not an ultra fan of soft focus effects though (although sometimes they definitely have their place), so maybe that's why. the grain one is cool, but it might have a tad too much grain for me. so i choose the first one. great DoF on that!

I normally like grain but I'd go with the first one for this particular shot.

I like #2, maybe with less grain though. Not really feeling the one you posted with more of her face because I gather from the original crop that you want the eye to be your main focal point. With more of her face in there the first thing I saw was the nose and the portion of the mouth that is in the frame...........does that make sense? However, it is still a very nice shot.
