Which one?

Hi all..

I took this portrait of a friend with available light while we were taking photos in a race track. I like the idea that this photo doesn't show, at least to me, when or where it was taken.. I was wondering which one looks better and fades the time more the color or bw?

I would like share my experience with the Canon 24-70L mkii as I used it alot that day.I am really impressed with the image quality. I only shoot at 2.8, I never had images that sharp before and the colors with out any edit are simply very rich and outstanding. I don't regret at all that I got it.

I prefer the color.

the color version is better i think. the B&W is too light. everything in the photo is light so there is very little contrast between the dark and the light.
and why everything at f/2.8? was there not much light? i would think if you had decent lighting there wouldn't be much need to shoot wide open. the color picture looks like you could have stopped down the lens a little and been good.

Regarding the BW, I agree it is light and with less contrast but I don't know why I really like it and its feel. It is a just a feeling..

Exactly I used 2.8 because there was not much light. It was 4:30 pm, we were behind audiance stage (which is really huge) and sunset was behind the stage also

By the way, I had the 70-300 lens with me on my other camera, and I suffered with f5.6. Now I understand why 70-200 2.8 is that expensive and I am dreaming of getting it.. I just hope I will sometime soon
