I haven't got a clue either. I was hanging around to see if someone else got it. It sorta looks familiar. which means I've probably never seen it before and my mind is playing tricks on me.

Would you want me to give you a hint then?

Well, in May, the fields on which this plant now blooms looked like this...

...or this:

A month later it had already changed a little:

A couple more weeks into this year and blooming was imminent:

And now all the fields look either this pink, or more often plain white, but blooming all right:

Now you can no longer go wrong! ;)

CONGRATULATIONS to Skipster!

Who would have thought that a "plain plant as a potato" has such a beautiful blossom???

That's what your spuds look like? Our looks nothing like that!
We've got tall plants with little purple/white flowers all the way up them. Lots of the fields around here are full of them this year.

Well, but here they are all like this. Few are this pink (which is prettier, so I chose the pink field for my close-ups), most are plain white, but they are always and every year again this bushy and with these flowers. And I have now promised myself to get a close up year after year and this year I decided the time had come :). So I honoured our "spuds" with these photos :).
