Which Polariser?

I'm just about to get a polariser for my new Sigma lens and I have the choice of a Hoya filter or a Sunpak one, the Sunpak is a bit cheaper. Does anyone have experience of these two brands? Which is better or is the difference marginal?

The difference is probably marginal. The hoya might be a bit thinnner which would be more important if you use wide angle lenses.

The one thing I hate about my Hoya polariser is the fact that the rear ring ( the ring that screws into the end of the lens not the rotating ring that holds the filter glass ) is completely smooth. Makes it very difficult to get a grip on it when attempting to unscrew the filter from the end of my lens.

I have another polariser ( different manufacturer and size ) that has ridges on the rear ring for easy removal.
