White throated sparrow, or something like that.

This little guy hopped down on a branch while I was shooting the chickadee, so I thanked him for the pose. Missed focus a tad due to the branches, but still a neat shot.

Yeah, I think it is a white-throated sparrow, though I get easily confused by sparrows. I think I misidentified some of my shots as white-throated, when they were actually savannah sparrows. Then there's song sparrows, field sparrows, chipping sparrows, American tree sparrows, ad infinitum. Good grief!

And--I HATE it when those stupid branches get in the way of a good bird shot!! Cute little sparrow anyway.

Yes, very nice. Eye is nice and sharp, pose is good as you noted, and you could probably brighten up the picture a smidgin (technical term).

[Pallycow]

yeah photoshop was arguing with me, I tried a smidgen but it wanted to do tad instead.

;-)

I don't know how anyone can tell all of the sparrows apart. Sparrow would've done it for me.

What a cute bird though. And I think it turned out quite well despite the branches being there.

It's nice to have something pop by to shoot at when i'm on smoke breaks...

My boss is a birder and she's the one who told me it was that kind of sparrow, she also did the whistle noise they make. lol
