And in the best of light there can be even!
Have you waited for long, hidden by a camouflage-tent? Or how does one take such sharp, well-lit, precisely exposed photos of wild deer?
 
If they don't feel you're a threat, you can get plenty of pictures. My buddy has deer that are roaming all over his new property and just are a bit curious.

Hi Lafoto, Yes, NORMALLY I sit in a blind for hours waiting for the right shot. Early morning and late evening, deer tend to feed so the lighting is often times right and if your lucky, you'll have one get close enough for the perfect shot. HOWEVER, for this shot, it was a national park where deer tend to let you get closer. This guy let me get close enough with the morning sun at my back.

Or how does one take such sharp, well-lit, precisely exposed photos of wild deer?
My Canon 30 D and 100-400, rarely dissapoint me.
