Who gets the credits for what on this wedding event?

How much you get paid (including being paid nothing) hasn't any effect on the credits itself.

You need to learn to sort out who is specifically doing what BEFORE a project takes place. Even if its for free or charity if its a serious project get it sorted out and on paper then signed by all parties. At least then you know what you're expected to deliver and what each other person is going to contribute.

Person c was credited as a photographer, like a and b, he did nothing else.

Before person a, b and c started this they all agreed that they where three photographers, nothing else.

Then:
1-Person b proposed to a that the client (his cousin) will be impressed by videos & they should collaborate & make one together for the reception there is a projector and screen set up already.
2-Person c did not agree and decided to stay out of it,

Person b asked person a how to go about it
3-person a suggested to person b to take copies of all their photos and videos and create a short video of high lights from the events taken place at the wedding earlier in the day while

4- person a will make a cartoon animation of the couple super imposed as a intro, then a video out of all the slide shows with music, and a music video as a nice finish,
Using adobe premiere to combine photos touched up in Photoshop and videos with year by year slide shows in iphoto, the rest was done after effects.

5-After person a finished which turned out to be a 18 minute video, person b decided it was too much to do a video all the sudden, he preferred to stay home and relax before the reception.

6-The reception went perfect, everyone was touched, even impressed about the video, some told person b it was incredible, but person b complained that the credits where not correct at all.

8-Person b insists he produced part of this video because his images are used, not even acknowledging person c 's images and videos.

the credits went like this

Concept and Video by person a
Camera by person a, b , c
Editing by person a
Additional graphics and animation by person a

person b who only took photos and recorded some videos wants it to say his future company name was responsible for all of the above, not just photos, promising person a that he can use this to get more work.

just for the record, person b asked person a to make his business cards after been impressed by the way person a's used photoshop to make his own.,
Person a shared the template via email but after a week past person b called pretending he was still expecting person a to do it for him, spending more time ranting on about it then doing it,

My guess is person B either has no experience or is a serious charlatan,

btw person a is a old geezer, photography was just a hobby of his, he recently purchased 10k worth of equipement so it seems he also could be trying to appease his angry wife by pretending he runs a already successful business.

So give B a marketing credit, and that is all.

Consider this a learning experience... not to get involved with people like B... and to ALWAYS get a contract signed by ALL parties involved, so everyone knows what they are getting. How old are you, out of curiosity?

Also--posting a ridiculous question and then calling all the regular posters on the forum trolls for responding with levity isn't really a great way to endear yourself to the rest of us, and make us want to try to help. Not that we could anyway. Sounds like you have a mess on your hands because you had no contract, you just started doing more and more and now you find yourself embroiled in a battle of egos. Its not a redecoulis question at all, what your going on about is a experience not the question lol, you just think its a long redecoulis question because your reading it in behalf of others and the lip service creeps in your post, but yes you nailed the answer, you knew from the start i had that answer in mind, i dont see why people here should not share experiences like this and talk in the open about them, they happen allot, why not come out of the dark ages already i say, in the UK its worse because people speak to you clearly about everything in perfect english but then do anything they can behind others backs, mostly out of their own back ward anti social psychological disorders, although the internet has helped allot of the narrow minded ones educate themselves some still find each other on the net and return to their narrow minded ways because they have support to stand behind there bias mentality.

But i have no problem with you nailing this story about person B who is the inexperienced trouble maker trying to trans-pass on everyone's rights, he certainly got person C and some on this thread under his thumb, in fact anyone who thinks like a sheep will fallow a leader, the question how ever was how to deal with this, is it really legal or a personal mistrust., because when people get too close their word goes against your word, regardless of contract they can still do things.

If your way of dealing with B and C is similar to how you're dealing with the regulars here, I can see why there's a problem. And yes, your issue "should" have been taken care of by working with a lawyer before any of this got off the ground. In my own line of work, every interaction with a client, vendor, subcontractor, is covered by a written agreement (contract) which spells out who does what, when, how, and what the compensation arragement is. I had to learn the lessons the hard way. So take Charlie's advice, and after this make sure that your future interactions are written down and vetted by someone who knows contract (and copyright) law. Your pocketbook will thank you for it.
