Jedi something or other
Portrait photography i really like Annie Leibovitz's work. Sure she is a bit publisized, but she has done some fasinating portraits. The one of Christiane Amonpurr and her camera women is very interesting to me. Its also B&W which she doesn't do alot of anymore. I can tell she has rappot with almost all her subjects, and her shotting celebrities her portraits get very personal which is something you don't often see with celebs.
Arbus is cool though too.
Landscape you gotta love Ansel, just gotta.....
nude and light studies would be Ruth Bernhard. She is amazing, some of her photograph subjects i don't care for, but she is a master of light. She is so sensitive to the ambient light in the room that she can actually feel changes of light on her skin, to be able to feel someone turn on a light is impressive to me. Unless its a heat lamp
Her nudes are very refreshing, there is no hint of personal sexuality in them, only the way the light falls on the subject. Not too many people i have seen know Ruths work. But it is impressive.
