Woodie and Starling eying each other at the feeder
Birds of a Feather ...
Good catch of a Red bellied woodpecker. Not often is the belly seen, prompting questions as to why they were named.
The Starling has some colors reminding me of a starry night sky.
Inspiration is everywhere.
In the UK it is known as the Greater Spotted Woodpecker. Normally prefers the peanuts on the feeders.
Thanks everyone for their replies.
I wouldn't be surprised if that is why they call them Starlings.
I believe that is an epiphany
