Yousuf Karsh - Intuitive use of black and white. Superb portrait photographer.
Ansel Adams - Fantastic scenics and portraits. Brilliant mind when it came to technique both behind the camera and in the darkroom.
Franz Lanting - Thought provoking color scenics. Has a way of using lighting to get the most out of a natural scene.
Michael Brown - His macro photography has a style of it's own and stands on it's own merits artistically and technically.

He has some excellent work. Do you know what kind of camera he was using? His subjects really pop out from the background, though that may be use to effective lighting.

Tony Mandarich.

He gave me a reason to ignore off season the draft and preseason in their entirety.

I don't really care for his photography though.

Big fan of Stefano Unterthiner. Probably best known on the internet for the first photo in this set which won National Geographic's "Best Animal Portrait" in 2008. The fox story is also really cool.

Also a fan of Moose Peterson.

Michael Fatali is one of my favorites as far as the work goes. But from what I've gathered the few times I've met him, he seems like a pretty arrogant a$$hole.
Welcome to the Gallery of Michael Fatali

Gerard Steffan is another one of my favorites. He not only does great work, but is a great guy to boot. He's agreed to mentor me, and has only asked that I accompany him on some of his hikes in the area in return.
