Who left the door open?

No matter how many times I patch & resize the openings of our bird houses, the red squirrels gnaw them open to suit themselves. Last night all this grass was neatly tucked into the opening & a squirrel snugly inside. The sun came out today & so did the squirrels.

Well, one time I barred the hole in a new patch & you can see how successful that was.

They nest anywhere, anyhow.no stopping them. Might as well let them in thew birdhouse as opposed to your house!

That is almost priceless Ron! I am chuckling at this photo....thinking of the possible captions!!! It would make a great advert for a local home alarm company...a funny play on Los Angeles houses with window bars...etc.,etc.

Poor squirrel Don. I really enjoy the little devils, they are very entertaining.

I agree Ron.

Obviously they like the free food but I've moved my seed feeder three times to be out of their reach, this last time they decided to enlarge the feeding hole to the point the seed flowed freely.

Unfortunately the feeder is now hanging off the house gable and to get to it they climb up the brick moulding of the patio door.

Easy prey for an old guard dog, sigh...
