Why is my Dragonfly so blurry?

One has the head in focus the other has the tail and wings in focus. Seriously irked. What am I doing wrong?

Shooting that close your depth of field is very, very limited. You either have to shoot at a very small aperture to recover some of the depth of field, decide what part of the subject you want in focus, or use focus stacking.

For a little pocket point and shoot, they aren't bad.... very difficult to shoot macro with that kind of gear.

hahahaha.... I don't think so!

Haha... It thinks it does... at least it has a setting for it. Not the most user friendly option.

If I stay very still though and take multiple shots I will eventually get one in focus. This took about 7 and most of them were focused on the debris in the background.
