WHY, WHY, WHY!?!?!?!?!

Because your shutter speed was too slow.

Because your shutter speed was too slow.

If it had been fast enough to expose for the sky... she would have lost all detail in the stonework, don't you think?

If the dynamic range between the sky and the structure is too great, you can solve it in camera by taking multiple exposures and then blending it at post, or using gradient filter(which I prefer) on camera:

You might have to do some post work for exposure if your sky and your structure isn't plum with your filter, but you'll have some details to work with and recover.

There's also a gradient in post(lightroom, ps, etc etc) but the thing is you have to have some data there for the algorithms to work with. If it's completely blown out or clipped on the blacks then you're going to have to do it like cgipson.

Trevert, im for sure gonna read up some more on lighting and how to deal with it best i can. & "Camz" (dont wanna assume your name, that would make an ass out of you and me... well mainly just me) Im gonna try to get one of those so atleast i have SOMETHING to work with, like you said. Instead of a complete blown out sky.
But now, i have another "stupid" question... Why cant i open my raw(CR2) images on CS4? and even after doing the whole, scripts --> image processor. It says "sorry could not process the following files..." What do i do?
