NX Studio is now only useable with a Nikon ID:

There is also a change to the EULA to the effect of "We will charge money for this in the future."
This sort of data gathering rips my knitting. It serves no benefit to the end user and exposes user data to another source of possible misuse.

I did not use NX Studio often but not ever now. I deleted this updated version and went back to the previous open version. Nikon made a big issue of being able to use Pixel Shift (joining many photographs to make a single huge photograph) with Macro at the last Z8 firmware update and now the only way to join the images up is behind a personalised logon.

The cynic in me is thinking that coding could be included in the NEF (RAW) Nikon files that can only be decoded by a paid subscription to NX Studio........... I hope that is not the case but I can see the possibility.

Maybe I am just being a bit paranoid........ or not.
