Wide angle lens for Elan 7e

ok i'm sure this has been asked and answered a dozen times...blah blah.

i'm looking for a good wide angle lens somewhere around 24mm and wider but i don't want to pay more than $800. any suggestions? advice?

photodo.com lists a Sigma AF 24mm with a rating of 4.0 (pretty good). B&H sells a Sigma AF 24mm for $299, but I don't think it's the same lens.

I'd check the lens list at photodo and try to find one with a high rating and go with that. Sometimes the less expensive lenses perform very well. :wink:

I took my Elan 7e down to the camera shop last week and hooked it onto a sigma 20mm wide angle, it has an f/stop of like 1.8 and used it was 300 bucks. Let me tell you it was cool! It let in tons of light, and was just right not too extreme. It is Sigma's high end line i can't remember the code though

DL maybe? Anyways its really nice, and it will save you a couple bucks.
