Wide Angle Lens?

HAHHAHA, i was about to comment and tell you to get the 16-35 without reading what you have to say. but then again, i didn't wanna embarrass myself, so I read and it turned out to be one of your options, so yea, i say the 16-35 i a perfect lens! way better than the 24-70 when it comes to wide angles!

He's on crop... Get cannon. 10-22 or tokina 11-16.

I have the same camera, yes the canon 10-22 would give a wider angle and a farther look of course. I agree with you on that. Yet, I would get the 16-35 because i print large posters of my landscape photos and the L lens sharpness and quality are what I PERSONALLY look for in wide angle lens.
