Wide Angle sigma on cropped, Wide angle Full frame.

hi there..

I used to have a 550D with a Sigma 10-22mm ultra wide angle lens, the pics were really wide and quite good quality, no vignettes that i noticed.

Now i have a 5D2, i was looking at the 17-40mm but i am confused as to how ''wide'' the photos will be compared with what i had on the 550d

would the resulting images be similar in size in terms of what is captured in the frame? as i loved how much i could fit in the 10-20 sigma

my 24-105 L vignettes slightly at 24mm, so im a bit worried about the 17-40mm

i am sorry if this is the dumbest question ever i am still learning ( and loving it )

Are there other lens i could consider for the 5d2 ultra wide..i love landscapes.

If you liked the field of view of the 10-20 then multiply those numbers by the crop factor of the 550d and that will indicate the focal length of the lens that would give you a similar field of view on the 5d2.
