Wil the lens that comes with this camera fit the D40?

I dont know the official lens name with this camera, but I am getting the camera used from a friend for $70 and it comes with this lens. I will also be getting the D40. Will this lens fit to the D40 as well?

It should fit, but it won't autofocus.

It might give you meter reading problems as well, I'm not sure on that point.

As far as I know, it should meter.

It's an AF G class lens. It will meter.
