Wild Flowers (C&C)

For your 1st flower effort, you did great. Well done.

Picture #1 is by far my favorite, but I don't think that a vertical crop is necessarily the right way to go, but it does need a crop. I've taken the liberty to do a crop, and play around some with the color, brightness, and saturation.

Pictures 2 & 3 aren't faltering to the flower, and picture 3 the background has just too strong of a blue color that competes with the flower itself.

Thanks for taking the time to process it. I took the overall ideas of everyone and came up with this one.... any better?

I also had some other pictures of the blue flowers that I didn't post, but they're taken in a different angle (more head on). I liked the indirect view, but I think everyone prefers seeing into the flower.
C&C on these too if you don't mind everyone ^_^

There's always more then one way to compose a picture. Your alternate composition is more of a box format, which is ok if it's what you want. I'm more a traditionalist, so I prefer the standard aspect ratios whenever possible. My concept has the flower pointing into the picture, while yours has the flower pointing out of the picture. Again, that's just a subjective concept that I tend to follow. What I do prefer is the adjustments to contrast, brightness, and saturation, that helps make the flower pop a little more.
