Hard light and high contrast celebrate the crusty surfaces. Painted brick work side-lit usually works well with b&w. But it's the decaying details that make it. The red-ish filter sky effect? Yes!

Yep, shot was taken middle of the day so not a lot of shadows...pretty much directly lit. No red filter, but I did mask the Wild West Inn sign and lowered it's exposure as the sign was a very light pink. I wanted higher contrast between it an the white wall. Also lowered the blues a bit to darken the sky. Also increased texture and clarity to bring out what small contrast there was in the grout lines and paint chipping. Thanks
