Hey! I am wondering if a SLR lens will fit on a DSLR camera?

It depends.

All Canon EF lenses will fit on any EOS camera (film or digital). EF lenses have been around since the late 80s.
Nikon's compatibility goes back much farther than that.
Sony DSLR cameras are compatible with Minolta lenses.

There are all sorts of adapters that allow you to mount just about any lens onto just about any camera. Although, the quality of the adapters may be questionable.

As Big Mike says ...

Canon FD lenses (manual focus) are not compatible with the Canon EF mount.

Minolta AF lenses for their Maxxum film cameras is the same as the Sony Alpha mount ... and not compatible with the Minolta MD (manual focus) mount.

Pentax and Nikon kept the same mount from their manual focus lenses ... you just have to be aware of some compatibility issues with functionality.

Yes, No, Maybe, Could be. It depends.
