Winter birds - C&C welcome

Pretty darn cold once you're standing in it shooting birds for about an hour though...

Photo #2 (closeup heron) is quite good, nice sharp focus & DOF. It looks a bit too magenta to me, but I'm on a laptop so may be wrong about that.

Photo #4 is also nice, I like the reflection. A suggestion would be to try cropping some off the left side, it's unneeded dead space IMO.

Did you get any vertical shots of the heron that are closer than your Photo #1?

Photo #2 might be a little Magenta, I don't really know. I don't have a calibrated monitor and I'm sort of colorblind so every once in a while I get it wrong. ^^

Not sure about cropping photo #4. I could try it at home.

I did get a closer vertical of the heron but did not like it as much as this one.

Some nice shots, love the reflections! Have you tried #4 in a vertical crop?

No I hadn't thought of that actually, I'm going to have a good look at that later because it seems like it might be a good idea...
