Winter Kids Shoot

Hi all,
I am just starting out trying to get more kid portrait sessions - and I have a shoot coming up soon here. I like to use available light and do some outdoor shots but with the temps in Michigan being in the single digits, I'm not sure outdoor shots will be an option this time around. Any tips on how to make the most of available light indoors with kids? I appreciate the help!
