Visited my cousin the other day while we had some snow. Here in AR that is kind of a rare thing. While were were there, an impromptu session broke out. She asked if I could make the "vintage-y". I didn't want to do the whole "add a bunch of grain and noise and call it vintage" thing. This was my take on it.

The vignetting is a bit much. I run a filter to produce the effect and its always real heavy. Anyone have a tutorial on how to make a custom vignette?

C&C as you wish...

Bump?

I like them. I don't think the vignetting is too bad except for in the second picture it's a little much. I like the grainy style you were going for. The boy is maybe too centered, but other than that I think there great. Nice job.

i myself liked #2 the best of all,, but they are all nice shots, great job:thumbup:

Thank you. My wife also liked #2 the best. I chose #3 as my favorite.

Nice composition and treatment; is it just my crappy work monitor or are the faces slightly soft (esp. #s 1,3, 4)?

I thought i commented on these already; they are very good images; i liked them all

Regards :D

I've had a hard time learning how to nail the focus with the new 2.8. I am also going to have to work on keeping my hands steadier.

But once you master it it opens a world of new oppurtunities.

In regards to the shots, the vignetting is a little heavy on some, but i like the grainy-look you edited to here.

Jake
