Winter surfing

Saw these guys out catching some waves, so I decided to walk down as close as I could get and give sports photography a try. Any input on how to make these better would be greatly appreciated. One thing I wish I could have gotten more of their faces in the shots.

Looks like it's breaking pretty smooth on #1. Man hoow cold is that water?

Not sure how cold,but i'm thinking it had to be in the low 40's.

the spray in the 2nd shot is awesome. really liking that capture. focus is spot on.

Too cold for me. But I admire the courage it must take to dive in.
