Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm not sure where to post this, so I thought the beginners section might be my best bet. Anyways I am working on this photo project for someone and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me some pointers to better edit some photos. If your interested please pm me and I will give you the details of this project. Thanks a bunch!

You might want to include some more detail in your post - what type of images, what sort of 'editing', etc...

Lol that's exactly what I don't want to do. It's a surprise and you never know who's around on these forums. I would just like some pointers, not someone to do the work for me. The photos aren't great and might need to be redone, although I'm hoping not. The lighting was bad and they are slightly under exposed. They seriously lack something. I need this done by Xmas so if they need to be redone I need to get to it ASAP. The editing wouldn't be anything extreme just basic stuff, they still have to look real.

and provide some image examples so people can see what you are talking about.

or redo them so that they are exposed properly

post the images.

I can't do that :(. I'm hoping someone will pm me and I will provide lots of detail that way. I know you can't decide without detail, but I will provide all in private. If anyone might be willing to help, I will give you details then you can decide. I won't twist your arm I promise. If no ones willing to help I can understand that too... Some crazy secretive newbie showing up asking for help with no details lol.

Truthfully ... I'm sure someone will post a link to TONS of websites giving you the information that you are searching for.
such as this place, look at the menu under Tutorials
Cambridge in Colour - Photography Tutorials & Learning Community

there is just SOOOOOooooooooo much to it that it can't really be summarized in one paragraph.
First you have to know how to use your camera
is your equipment low end or professional or in between
Can you operate your camera without thinking, in all features

do you know about lighting, have the proper equipment if necessary
and the list goes on, and on, and on

then like this is a good read to understand and experiment, and this book is JUST about lighting

Think the querey is asking aid on ways to better edit images.

In the film days I would lay the transparencies on am light box, quite often the best shots will jump up at you, I would put those away to start.

Then I would start by getting rid of everything that was no good as badly exposed, out of focus, bad framing and so on, then I would bunch up all the "similars" and pick the best.

Same principle will apply to digital you just have to find a workflow that functions for you and that means findinf the right software fir the job.

I get that there's a ton of information out there. I just can't seem to apply most concepts to my projects without a little help... If that makes sense. I would just like someone to look at a couple images, tell me if they are usable and can be fixed, give me a few pointers and that's it. I just can't post the images in this thread.

I know its a strange request
