Played around with DOF, guess taking the picture with an angle would help a bit-duh! Still liked this for some reason...

1/3 of a second is too slow and it shows here as the photo is soft due to motion blur.
If you aren't on a tripod, pay attention to your shutter speed and adjust iso or aperture.
For 43mm on a crop sensor 1/100 might have given you better results.

A nice idea for a shot though.

Yes, I noticed the softness too. I placed my camera on a tractor seat in the gloomy barn and used the 2s timer. I did forget to switch off the IS though, so it is either that, or the focus ring got 'stuck' on the seat...
