That's the one I bought. Fast and accurate.

(edit) Make sure it is the G ED VR version.

Your camera support both DX and FX lenses
(The image circle that rendered by the FX lens is larger than the DX lens, it will for sure cover the whole image sensor.)

Oops, wait a minute, you did not write "VR". Is that the G ED AF-S VR model?

Here's a link to my eBay search for the G ED VR:

    nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6g ed af-s vr | eBay

I see that they're running between $100 and $300, approximately.

I hope I didn't throw you off with my first response.

The lens you are looking at is the first G model. It does not use AFS focusing. And is a real piece of crap. You want an AF-S G Series with VR, or the much newer AF-P Series which is f/4.5 at the short end and only f/ 6.3 at the long end, but It focuses quite rapidly. This new af-p Lens is available in both DX and FX versions.

Nikon has made quite a few 70 to 300 lenses over the past 25 years. It is important to make sure, absolutely sure, of what you are buying.

G first version was AF.. no VR, no AFS motor in lens. The AF Ed was decent. The AFS G came out and it has VR. It is an FX capable lens and has been made for almost 20 years now. The AF-P lenses are i think 4 or 5 in number. In both DX and Fx versions, and with or without VR.
