Would this fry my flash?

So i got the EX 430 II Flash and a Golden Half camera (half frame) and i was wondering if i should use it since the pin contacts at the bottom of the flash arent the same as the one i have on the hotshoe of my Canon DSLR. I tried it, it works but could there be any damage done?

For the record, the camera is simply out of plastic and uses no electricity.

Most of the pins on the bottom of your flash are for flash metering. It's only the center one which is actually used to trigger the strobe. There should be no problem using the flash on that camera, other than figuring out what the exposure will be.

Yup.. Should be ok.

I used my 550EX flash on many non-canon cameras. You just have to determine exposure manually.
