Would you buy gray market Lens, Camera?

I see that the main worry is about warranty. It would be interesting to know how many people actually needed warranty repair.
Over the years I have owned hundreds of electronic equipment and not a single one needed warranty repair or replacement. Going from smartphones, TV sets to DSLR cameras. Furthermore, just bought a lens from a grey importer. Almost half the price.
