Wounded Blue Jay

I saw this jay hopping across the ground this morning and discovered it was holding it's wing at an awkward angle. Apparently it wasn't functioning since it only climbed a short tree and didn't fly away as they usually do.

Not a pleasant situation regarding the Jay, but still a nice set.

Blue jays are my favorite bird and I hate seeing them wounded like this because I know what the outcome usually is.
