You are hitting some nerves here. Interesting image. The colors add a level of unnaturalness that may be reaching too far. The B&W blends together much better and makes you view the image longer because of the better sense of reality. As a theme of combining close-ups of body parts and landscapes ... while nothing new ... but then again what is actually new ... this combo certainly works.
