I was worried about my point and shoot when I was kaying before let alone this.

heh I've contemplated doing the same, but with one of those small floating seat affairs that some fishermen use - throw some camo over the top and you've got a low rise floating hide - and apparently many waterbirds will let you get a close on the water than off.
