RIM unveils workaround plan

I know we have a couple of 'berry users here. I'm a prospective buyer, but have been holding back due to this dispute. Hope the workaround s/w is solid.

I actually bought a Blackberry a few months ago and because of their legal issues, I took it back and swapped it for a Sidekick (which I love). I was pretty sure that RIM would have a workaround plan but that wasn't enough to make me want to keep it. After having one of the original Blackberries years ago and dealing with all the little glitches that they had to fix, I wasn't willing to go through that again with a new system. I wish all Blackberry owners luck with that.

I have a blackberry, but it isn't clear what's in store for the UK and European markets, should the US collapse in some way. Anyone else have any push technology devices that they're pleased with?
