What an awesome looking Bird. Never heard of this species.

I really like picture #4 but to me the problem with the whole set is, that there's just to much going on in the background.
If the bird would sit on a single branch in front of a blue sky, the whole set would be incredible good...but that's not the photographers fault.
You sure did the best you could in this situation an I still like the outcome.

What lens is this? Has a really interesting quality about it.

Nice set, I like the 1st best. Numbering your pictures makes it easier for us to comment on them.

Thank you. I had actually shot it out of my bedroom window on a second floor. The pictures came out somewhat soft due to the heat in the house. I just had knee surgery so getting down the stairs and outside takes a while and i was afraid if i didn't miss the bird because of that that opening the door on my enclosed porch would spook it. I would have loved to have gotten a different angle. That area is all lined with evergreens because i live along a highway so they dampen the noise a bit.

It's a Tamron 150-600 G2, i think the heat from inside my house caused the weird look you see in the background.

Thank you. Do you mean numbering them as i post them, or numbering them as i have them now?

Nice set was it at 600mm when you shot these if so it did not let you get very close

Very nice set. Shows all the Flickers distinctive markings! well done
From exif it looks like ~400mm(600mm equiv)

Thank you. Is the only difference between a northern flicker and the yellow shafted flicker the yellow? I also have a coopers hawk around here i have yet to get with this lens!

Nice set. Background not weird to me. Looks good.
