Nice shots, it does look hot there. On the second picture, where was it taken? The deer looks like an Impala of sorts. We have no deer like that in the north. The white sand provides a good background.

Yes a duck under water in the first, i tried not to crop him out to much. The second one i cheated, it was taken at San Diego Wild animal park (or the zoo, my two year old wanted to go to both). We only have mule and black tail deer any where around Southern California, nothing like the guy in photo 2. Thanks for looking, and commenting.

No matter if you were "cheating" ... zoo photos are not cheating as such and I THOUGHT it was taken in a zoo. It still goes with the theme, doesn't it?

Awwww love that duck shot!! So entertaining! And I see no cheating in taking zoo pictures! Love the sd zoo, grew up not far from there and spent many a day there, before my photographing days unfortunately!! : )
