Mine are Neruda...Faiz and Faraz...not necessarily on that order...here are some poems by them..

Dream

That moon traveled with me
in this barren forest of distances
now it's hidden from my sight.

For ages now, I, sad and alone,
have walked in darkened ways.
Shall I go on, or return?

What thought makes me stay?
There is no one here to tell me
Who am I? What is this place?

Ahmad Faraz

[h=2]‘Perhaps not to be is to be without your being.’[/h] Perhaps not to be is to be without your being,
without your going, that cuts noon light
like a blue flower, without your passing
later through fog and stones,
without the torch you lift in your hand
that others may not see as golden,
that perhaps no one believed blossomed
the glowing origin of the rose,
without, in the end, your being, your coming
suddenly, inspiringly, to know my life,
blaze of the rose-tree, wheat of the breeze:
and it follows that I am, because you are:
it follows from ‘you are’, that I am, and we:
and, because of love, you will, I will,
We will, come to be.

Pablo Neruda

[h=2]Do not ask, my love.....[/h] Do not ask, my love, for the love we had before:
You existed, I told myself, so all existence shone,
Grief for me was you; the world’s grief was far.
Spring was ever renewed in your face:
Beyond your eyes, what could the world hold?
Had I won you, Fate’s head would hang, defeated.
Yet all this was not so, I merely wished it so.
The world knows sorrows other than those of love,
Pleasures beyond those of romance:
The dread dark spell of countless centuries
Woven with silk and satin and gold braocade,
Bodies sold everywhere, in streets and markets,
Besmeared with dirt, bathed in blood,
Crawling from infested ovens,
My gaze returns to these: what can I do?
Your beauty still haunts me: what can I do?
The world is burdened by sorrows beyond love,
By pleasures beyond romance,
Do not demand that love which can be no more.

Faiz Ahmed Faiz

William McGonagall! No...just kidding.

I don't really have a favorite. I used to know a guy here at the college who, I think, had some of the most beautiful, clever poems ever, but that's just me.

Kahlil Gibran---- Edgar Lee Masters-and old Edgar Alan Poe..My head still sways, when I read The Bells..

Shel Silverstein.

I am my favorite poet

I know, I sound like a pompous ass

and my stuff may only speak to me, but that is all it needs to do.

I am not nearly as arrogant about the other things I enjoy doing. But I don't give up on a poem until I am 100% satisfied with it.

Roses are Red
Bacon is red.
Poetry is hard.

[h=1]Shel Silverstein hehe[/h]

Shel Silverstein is on my list too! I don't know who the favorite is though, there are too many to pick just 1.
