I forgot to put my beer in the fridge and now it's warm. I was willing to commit a sin and put ice in it (like Andy) but it's at the bottom of the freezer and I can't be arsed to hunt it out.

beer should not be too cold ... a good beer can unfold properly when not so cold, only horrible beers are better consumed ice cold, since then you taste less

Had a rough wine last night. Picked it up in the shop thinking it was the really nice and expensive one I shared with Nicola (memories )and then after paying realised I was wrong! Think I'll be on cider tonight whilst I finish off the filtered cigars I bought - won't be buying those again either. :mrgreen:

I've never had a really "bad" beer. I've drank crummy light beer, but if anything its just not very flavorful.

I like my beer at room temperature. All of my friends think I'm sick for it, but I don't care. It seems like the warmer it is, the hoppier it tastes (I think I just made up a word, "hoppier" )

Wine I have a problem with. I have no sniffer (sense of smell) so a lot of wine tastes the same to me. My friend will open a bottle and tell me how great it is, but most of the time I feel it is wasted on me.

I hope you experience some good tobacco (Dominican or Cuban), a good wine (French) and a good beer (Belgian or German, depending on your style).

Either you don't know what good beer is, or you're not as broke as some of your posts had led me to believe.

Room temperature is too warm... Chilled is good, but not necessarily ice cold.

It does seem like warm beer gets you drunk faster though...

I like my beer good and cold, like most Americans. Come to think of it, the only time I've ever been served warm beer was in Germany.

I prefer a pale ale, or a lager. I'm not sure what this stuff was I was served in Germany, but you could stand a spoon up in it. Too thick for me. I don't like to chew my beer.

Not to mention, one pint of it nearly put me on my face. I freely admit that I am a lightweight, but German beer will knock your dick in the dirt in short order.
