40mm 2.8 vs 50mm 1.2

So I have both the 40/2.8 and the 50/1.2. These lenses are worlds apart and should not be compared. However, the 40/2.8 is a good quality, compact lens. It focuses dead quiet and quickly as well. For video, it is perfect, a job it was designed to do. But also a great walk around still lens. It is much better than the 50/1.8, but not quite as good as the 50/1.4. Compare the prices and I think you will get the idea. For the T2i, I recommend the 40/2.8.
