Broken mirror!!

So one of my friends recently picked up a Sony dslr-a100 at a really good price.

The catch is that one of the mirrors is broken, if he were to get this fixed would the camera still perform the same?

It just the bottom mirror that is broken.

Just wondering what everyones input is.

Also, the camera does take pictures

Its just it is constantly focusing due to the amount of light going in since its broken

Most of the pictures do come out pretty well still

Shouldn't be more than $100-200 to get it fixed at a Sony authorized service center, and I assume it would be re-calibrated and just about good as new when they were done with it.
