Buying body from Amerika

Hamlet, didn't I tell you just a couple months back that you'd likely be upgrading your camera body given your buying habits? You told me no way, not for a long time. Then you bought a DX-only lens!!!

Maybe time to reflect ;)

Think they covered that already in the mirror thread. Turns out, not a mystical portal to another dimension. Now that would have been something useful to make a sticky - or send out a memo, you know, something.. lol

I remember that. But why sell my old gear? How else will i take pictures of my new gear? Supermodel Pooftobel withstanding.

What do you do for a living? o_O

Oh my... what a gem of a thread.

Do for living? I don't understand your question.

Buy some cyanotype sensitized paper, then set your new camera on top of it on a sunny day. Rinse in water - you now have a photo of your new camera.

That stuff is not animal friendly.

If money is an issue, try Panamoz. I do not know about Germany, but they sell d800e for £1800 (and d800 for £1500) in UK. And they give their own 2 year warranty, which is better than buying from US.

As for the decision to upgrade, I think it works sometimes, because some people start producing with their backs to the wall. And buying the "best" camera is basically the same as putting your back against the wall. No steps back and no more excuses.

Good choice on the D800e. Who needs an anti aliasing filter when photographing a hamster anyway?

I have no answer for you because I just know nothing about electricity.

I do however have a question for you, did you accidentally misspell America with a "k", or are you spelling "Amerika" like that on purpose?

I actually looked into that moiré won't be a problem.

People that own the d800e stand by their purchase and people who don't own it say that it has moiré bad. Poof has a lot of overlapping little hairs, so that could be a possible moiré producing feature, but the images are sharper than the d800.
