Buy some cyanotype sensitized paper, then set your new camera on top of it on a sunny day. Rinse in water - you now have a photo of your new camera.

If money is an issue, try Panamoz. I do not know about Germany, but they sell d800e for £1800 (and d800 for £1500) in UK. And they give their own 2 year warranty, which is better than buying from US.

As for the decision to upgrade, I think it works sometimes, because some people start producing with their backs to the wall. And buying the "best" camera is basically the same as putting your back against the wall. No steps back and no more excuses.

It should. The only differences are the input voltage characteristics. The outputs should all be the same... what the battery needs to properly charge.

That said, what about the warranty?

I'm screwed concerning that. I cant buy the d800e here.

I actually looked into that moiré won't be a problem.

In images made with a D800E that have fine pattern detail in them, you will see moiré, and you will likely want to correct it post process.

People that own the d800e stand by their purchase and people who don't own it say that it has moiré bad. Poof has a lot of overlapping little hairs, so that could be a possible moiré producing feature, but the images are sharper than the d800.
