Edit Help Needed. (Warning: Hunting Photo)

Hi all,

I've been messing around with this photo trying to make it look a little better. You'll notice that the bottom of the photo is really washed out by the sun while my face has a nasty hat shadow across it. I don't need this to look perfect just better. Can anyone help me out? The link is to a full size photo. I didn't want to upload that big of a file directly to the forum.

This right here is really the most that can be done.

You should have used fill flash fill in the shadows and had a shorter shutter speed.

Thanks Sw1tch, it looks better anyway. I know now looking at the picture that a lot should have been done differently but it was a snapshot in the woods. I didn't realize how badly washed out the bottom half would look until I got the camera home and uploaded the pics. Oh well, lesson learned.

You could have also pulled that turkey to a nice shaded spot. It would have eliminated the harsh shadows and bright spots. There's no need to warn of a hunting photo. There's nothing wrong with shooting the bird, as long as the bird has feathers on it.
