    Hi folks,

as you probably know a common question in photo forums is the following: "I have been snorkelling/diving for X years now and would like to take some underwater pictures this holiday for the first time. I don't want to spend a four digit figure. What do you recommend? What are the most important camera settings? Is there a difference between shooting underwater and on land? How do I edit my photos on the computer so that they look even better?"

I have tried to answer all those questions and many more on my new website: Getting started in underwater photography

I spent US$230 on my equipment (camera + housing).

Full-size photos and videos can be found here

    Cheers
    Clemens

cool. Nice simple, informative site. I'd like to do this one day, but living about as far from the ocean as you can get, its probalby not practical for me right now...
