North Dakota Badlands

(This might be an ignorant question, but isn't Badlands actually in South Dakota?)

You are correct - there is Badlands National Park in SD (http://www.nps.gov/badl/) (which is also on my short list of places to go photograph, BTW), but there are also what are called the badlands in ND as well - the park name there is Theodore Roosevelt National Park (http://www.nps.gov/thro/)

Yes, it's definitely worth it. I haven't explored the area much yet, but my wife and I are trying to plan a trip to camp there for a couple nights within the next year or so.

If you ever happen to make it, make sure you also check out Yellowstone National Park in Montana, and the South Dakota Badlands also - both within a day's drive from this location.

Thanks, yes I agree about the sky. I did a slight Curves adjustment but it didn't really do the sky justice. I may do some more work on this. I don't have a CPL filter but should get one.
