Olympus Mju II, Please Help!

Hi, I've got a quick question for you all. My Mju II arrived today. When I opened up the back I noticed a plastic strip next to the take up spool. I thought this might be a stuck bit of film so I gave it a gentle pull and it didn't budge. What is this? I've seen it in some videos showing how to load the film into the camera so I know it's supposed to be there now. Is it super fragile... should I have not been pulling it and getting fingerprints on it etc? Thanks

Manual says,
"Caution: Do not touch the plastic parts near the take-up spool."

So, assuming you didn't break anything, just load the camera and proceed.

I didn't break anything but i'm still worried, I don't know how fragile the part is or anything like that!
