Yesterday I found a really nice poppy field, so I took some photos of 3 of my friends for my art project. I have the Canon EOS 450D and edited the photos in Photoshop. I'm still learning how to use my camera, so I would love some feedback :) Please do excuse the facebook upload quality.

(the focus isn't great on this shot, but I like the composition)

They are some nice photos I like the second and the third one the best. I think they have the best composition. Your friends blond hair looks a little over exposed but with that light of blond I would think it would be tough to get it perfect especially outside. Just don't go making any opium with those poppies...lol

I think I would have edited the photos differently. The compositions for the most part are decent. I recommend to only post 3-5 pictures for C&C. Any more pictures than that and it becomes time consuming to critique every one and you might not receive as much feedback.

Their all pretty neat. I'm not used to anything outside of car racing photography but these make me feel like i'm looking at some retro pictures from like the 90's lol

    Retro like the 90's?

I like the shots, but they could all use a bit more contrast. Many of them have coldish white balance to them. Both of those could be fixed in post processing.

Something like (quick 1 min edit in photoshop):
