Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
So I'm new to this whole photography game and I've been placing my logo on my photos, BUT once I save the final image and post it online...the logo ends up looking blotchy and blurry.

Any insights? :x

Here's an example:

Welcome to the forum.

Can you show us an example?

sure! I just posted an example below my previous message.

Maybe your logo doesn't respond well to resizing

Have you tried placing it in the image after resizing and compressing it for web viewing?

yeah, here's my procedure:

- resize
- edit
- flatten
- then place logo
- then save as jpeg as 12 max

but for some odd reason it comes out looking all blotchy.

i was having the same problem... i'm guessing your using PS... i found that when i had my image opened, it was usually in 33% view, and the brand was in 100%, and when i moved it over, it resized itself to 33% which was really small, I just resized my brand and it seemed to work ok

Rasterize the text after placing it, then flatten image, then save.

oh ok cool, i'll try that out. thanks for your help guys!

ok i'm still having the same problem...can anyone recommend anything?

are you using a vector logo or is it a rasterized (regular) image?

I tried placing a rasterized logo on a large picture, then scaled down and saved out to a jpeg, and everything works fine. can you walk us through your workflow so we can try and spot the problem? (such as resize, drag over logo, resize logo layer, rasterize logo layer, export to save as web...etc)

sounds kinda weird that only the logo reduces quality when reduced/resaved.
