    Really depends on what your shooting, but first and formemost, keep your lighting behind you and on the subject.

    Shooting in the morning or early evening gives the best light. Don't shoot directly into the sun.

    Study composition, and don't forget, what's in the background has an impact on the amount of attention accorded your intended subject. A poorly selected background can negatively impact an otherwise good photo.
