I took a walk with my dog today and snapped some shots along the way. I also like to think about pictures when I'm on bike rides. My olympus is too big for biking, but I think I'm going to start snapping cell phone pictures of things I like and then go back with my car and tripod to take pictures.

Do you guys tend to follow themes or what?

I don't follow themes as it were. I collect them. I have a lot of water shots (falls, streams, ocean, etc.) I have a lot of plant life/trees. I have a lot of shots of my hometown. I have a lot of mechanical shots. But very seldom do I go out with a specific idea in mind. Most time it's on my lunch break, my commute, or a spare hour or two I can grab on the weekend to stroll around downtown or at the local NWR. But I have built some thematic groupings over the years. I have never had a specific project in mind before.
